Replacing a Missing Tooth with a Single-Tooth Implant

PROCEDURE

A Dental Implant is placed in the site of the missing tooth.
A cover screw or healing abutment is placed over the implant.
For patients with good quality bone and excellent
primary stability, an abutment along with a temporary crown crown may be placed.
For 3-6 months, the implant is allowed to “osseointegrate” with the bone and then a new custom-made Porcelain and/or Zirconia Implant-retained crown is permanently placed.

Replacing Multiple Missing Teeth with Crowns & Bridges

PROCEDURE

Dental implants are placed in the site of the missing teeth or at the same time as the teeth are being extracted, often with a conservative, flapless, procedure.
Cover screws or healing abutments are placed over the implants.
For patients with good quality bone and excellent primary stability after implant insertion, abutments along with temporary crowns or bridges may be placed.
For 3-6 months, the implants are allowed to “osseointegrate” with the bone and then new custom-made Porcelain and/or Zirconia Implant-retained crowns and/or bridges are fabricated to permanently replace the missing teeth.

Replacing All Missing Teeth with New Permanent Teeth

PROCEDURE

4-6+ Dental implants are placed in each of the edentulous arches (arch with all teeth missing).
Implants are placed at the site of the missing teeth or in specific areas with an abundance of good quality bone.
Implants can be placed at the same time as the teeth are being extracted (if required), often with a conservative, flapless, procedure.
Cover screws or healing abutments are placed over the implants.
Existing dentures or new temporary dentures can be fabricated and used immediately.
For patients with good quality bone and excellent primary stability after implant insertion, abutments along with temporary bridgework may be placed.
For 3-6 months, the implants are allowed to “osseointegrate” with the bone and then a new custom-made Acrylic or Porcelain and/or Zirconia Implant-retained framework with pink gums and custom teeth, designed by Dr. Paliani will be permanently placed.

Replacing Teeth with Implant-Supported Dentures

PROCEDURE

2-4 normal-sized dental implants are strategically placed in each of the edentulous arches (arch with all teeth missing).
Implants can be placed with a conservative, flapless, procedure.
Newly fabricated dentures can be secured to the immediately-placed dental implants with special Locator ® attachments.
Existing dentures can be modified and secured to the dental implants with the same Locator ® attachments.

Securing dentures with implants allows for improved stability of the dentures, improved confidence in being able to chew and function normally.
Upper dentures can now be modified to remove the palatal area creating a horse-shoe shaped denture allowing for tongue freedom and the ability to feel and taste better with the hard palate exposed.

6-8 Mini dental implants (narrow in size) are placed in each of the edentulous arches (arch with all teeth missing).
Mini implants are chosen and placed in specific areas with an abundance of good quality bone height but with narrow ridges.
Implants can be placed with a conservative, flapless, procedure.
Newly fabricated dentures can be secured to the immediately-placed mini dental implants with special attachments.
Existing dentures can be modified and secured to the mini dental implants with the same attachments.
